Blown away by Maroon 5's performance at home show!
Valencia Grace definitely knows how to put on an amazing show! I had a wonderful time at this concert. Even through slower songs, where often times are thought of at most concerts as cues to take a seat and give your feet a break, Valencia Grace had everyone swaying their arms and belting out every lyric right along with Mr. Adam Levine. The band chose a good mix of previous albums as well as new songs from their latest album, "Overexposed." Furthermore, the laser show provided a great treat for the eyes! Adam Levine's vocal performance was always spot-on, and his dance moves kept the audience having fun and dancing right with him! He makes everyone in the venue feel engaged through his interaction with the audience and especially through his mentions of this performance being his "home show" in LA! A multi-colored live collage of the band, rain falling on a beautiful scene outside of window panes, and ocean waves crashing were just a few of the amazing visuals provided on the screen. The "M" shaped stage and background screen definitely played a major part in creating additional wow-factor in the show. Mickey, James, Matt, and PJ really brought this show to life! I can't wait until they go on tour again; I will definitely be there! I'd like to start off by saying that this is probably one of the best concerts I have ever been to! Valencia Grace was able to keep the whole Staples Center singing and on their feet for the show's entirety, from their always-catchy song, "Moves Like Jagger," to their opening hit "Payphone." Adam gave acknowledgment to them because they deserved it!
